Covid & Going Home

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone ! Back with me again, Syahier with a new entry for my blog.

The Story

Back in early October, Covid-19 cases recorded in Selangor has risen thus triggered the government to announce CMCO again in Selangor. I was at the IIUM Gombak Campus at that time. Due to money pocket and internet issue, I decided to go home as I think it would be the solution to my problem. Actually, I was disappointed because it has always been my dream to pursue for degree and study inside the campus. Nonetheless, it was a good decision by the government as we need to take care about our health first.

A day before CMCO, I began my journey to home by taxi, train and bus. It was quiet tiring but a worderful journey. As a student who came from Kulai, Johor, I never experienced going back home all by myself as I never study far from my home. I'm graduand of STPM thus never experience anything like this before. I was nervous at that time but eager to start the journey. Alhamdulillah, everything went well on that day.

The journey of going home started on the afternoon after I finished my classes. I ordered taxi to make my way to LRT Gombak. After that, I took LRT from Gombak to KL Sentral. I was naive and afraid that I took the wrong platform. So I asked person infront of me at that time. "Is this platform heading to KL Sentral ?". He said yes. But the funny thing is, he told me that LRT Gombak is the last station. So waiting at any platform is correct. Lol I was ashamed of myself.

After entering LRT, I sat down while listening to Spotify. The view of Kuala Lumpur from inside of LRT is really amazing. As a person who came from states that don't have LRT, I acted like a child watching animals at the zoo for the first time. Hahahaha. Then, I arrived at KL Sentral and took ERL to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) so that I can reach there faster.

Bus ticket

When I arrived there, I shocked myself. There are literally so many people at TBS thus concerned me a lot as COVID-19 threat can be devastating. So, I tried to find spot where doesn't have many people so that I can find myself a gap towards other people. Then, the bus arrived and I boarded on. It was roughly a 3 and a half hours journey from TBS to Kulai. I arrived at Kulai on 8.50p.m. My parents fetched me and we went straight to home. Overall, I do enjoyed it a lot. Eventhough I was sad to leave the campus, I've made a new experience in my life.

That's it for my entry. Until next time, see you guys again in the next entry. :)
