Eighth Week of Semester 2

    For this week's lesson, we learnt about a simple photography named Flat Lay. It is really a simple photography theme. Flat Lay is simply a photo of subject arranged on a flat surface and being captured from above. However, the three main component in Flat Lay are subject, lighting and composition. You have to combine all three component in order to create a good flat lay photo.

    With that, the theme of this week's challenge is Flat Lay. After having a deep thought, I decided to prepare these two subjects which are DualShock4 (DS4) and novel books. I have a big passion for those two. I'm a big fan of console game since I was a kid. I also love to read book, especially fiction books. For DS4 photo, I combined it with two of my favourite game, FIFA (football game) and F1 (racing game). I have a deep passion in football and motorsport. The white background symbolize a fresh background. These two sports has been in my DNA since I was a kid. I'm a long live fan of Fernando Torres (football) and Fernando Alonso (F1). So, I combined it together and captured this photo alongside the caption "Video games foster the mindset that allows creativity to grow" - Nolan Bushnell. Mr. Nolan Bushnell is the founder of the legendary console game Atari. He's cited at the father of video games industry as he is one of the pioneer to console gaming.

     The other photo, novel book. So, the background that I chose was my bed. I chose my bed to be the background because I've always reading books on my bed before sleeping. It's one of my accompany for me beside of video game. It's my hobby also since I was a kid. I think that I've read over 100 books throughout my life and it gave many lessons to me. It can be my accompany when I feel alone. Therefore, I came out with the caption "We read to know we are not alone"

       That's it for this week's challenge. Personally, I loved it very much because I can share my passion through Flat Lay Photography. Indeed, a photo worth 1000 words.
